This coin has a unique design which symbolizes the Cold War between the former United Soviet Socialist Republic/USSR (now Russia). The front of the coin has symbols of the US and Soviet Union, a map of East and West Germany, Checkpoint Charlie (at the Berlin Wall), and an US Eagle attacking a Russian/Soviet Bear, and a missile in the middle. The back has an eagle over a ribbon. The ribbon has never been authorized for wear. It also has the five US services mentioned.
It is a large 2 inches in diameter--it is heavy with an antique silver finish.
NOTE: Never personally given any of the coins. They are from either purchases of collections or from professional makers of military challenge coins. All coins are guaranteed to be in excellent condition.
